Volunteers are needed to work the Shelby County Republican Party Booth at
COLUMBIANA LIBERTY DAY
SATURDAY JUNE 30, 2012

Shelby County Republican "outreach" season is in full swing. During the summer months, there are festivals and events in which we register, set-up, and staff a booth, which provides a GREAT opportunity to represent our party, get some fresh air and sunshine, and enjoy the sounds, flavors and (usually) music of the event. Helping at our booth is actually quite enjoyable - you meet a lot of neat and interesting people, and have a deeper appreciation of all the great people of Shelby County. Personally, I have worked several of these events, and the time has absolutely flown by. Seriously, volunteering is very easy and very fun!
To get straight to the point, WE NEED YOUR HELP! If you are able to volunteer in any of the capacities listed below, we would be incredibly appreciative. We especially need booth volunteers, so if you are able to donate just 2 hours of your time to the Shelby County Republican Party, please call Freddy Ard at 205-821-5916 or send a private message via Facebook (please, message only, no wall posts).
Functionally there are four (4) areas in which you can volunteer:
  1. Outreach Event Coordinator (1)
  2. Event Set-Up (1)
  3. Event Break-Down (1)
  4. Booth Volunteer (8 needed, 2 per shift, 2-hr. shifts)
Please note, BOOTH VOLUNTEERS ARE SCHEDULED IN PAIRS, SO YOU WILL NOT BE BY YOURSELF!
Outreach volunteering is a VERY easy way to make a huge difference! To put things in perspective, at our last outreach event, Alabaster CityFest, the Shelby County Republican Party registered or updated voting information for 42 voters, and added 21 names to our email and volunteer rosters. And of this was all done with just 8 volunteers - won't you be one of them at Liberty Day?
With warmest regards,
Laura Joseph
Communications Director
